Alex curran on the defensive

WAG ALEX CURRAN went on the defensive yesterday - saying her comments about Liverpool being "rough" were misquoted.

Women's mag new! - where Alex also spoke of avoiding the city's nightspots as they "attract the wrong sort of people" - said they "misinterpreted" her.

Bosses said her comments were only aimed at "one or two clubs".

Scouser Alex, 26, whose Liverpool FC ace hubby STEVEN GERRARD, 29, was cleared last week over a nightclub brawl, added: "I love living in Liverpool. I love the people, they are so generous and friendly. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else."
