Luis Suarez bade an emotional farewell to the Ajax players and their supporters on Sunday afternoon - and here are the best snaps from his return to the Amsterdam Arena.
The Reds' new No.7 was the special guest at de Godenzonen's Eredivise clash with VV Venlo where his old teammates formed a guard of honour and applauded him onto the pitch prior to kick off.
The Uruguay international addressed the fans while a montage of his best goals were featured on the big screen. The Ajax faithful responded in kind with a rendition of 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.
The hosts went on to win the encounter 1-0 and Suarez joined the players at a post-match party to say his final goodbyes.
Speaking on his official Twitter account, @luis16suarez on Monday morning, he said: "Yesterday was an unforgettable day. I can only thank you guys for such wonderful years with you all. Thank you Ajax!"
